Our Story
Alliance Financial Group was founded in 2005 by Craig Dres in Melbourne, with a simple mission: to provide truly independent financial advice that puts clients first. Starting with residential lending, we quickly built a reputation for integrity, expertise, and results.
Over the years, we expanded into commercial and development finance, assembling a team of specialists with deep expertise in complex lending scenarios. Today, our team brings over 75 years of combined experience across residential, commercial, construction, and development finance.
As an independent brokerage, we’re not tied to any single bank or lender. This means our recommendations are always based on what’s best for you. We have access to over 70 lenders — from the major banks to specialist and private funders — giving you more options and better outcomes.
